In 2022, the CEDC presidency is held by the Republic of Austria.

The efforts of the Austrian presidency are based on the accomplishments of the past years. To continue the prosperous cooperation between the CEDC and its partners in the future, it is important to evaluate future challenges and upcoming trends on a global and regional scale.

While supporting regional common interests within the framework of the EU Common Security and Defense Policy, it is also important to enhance cooperation, resilience, cross-border disaster relief as well as to foster the Civil Military Cooperation for sustainable regional stability with a special focus on the Western Balkans and the Caucasus region.
