In the framework of Slovenia’s Presidency of the Central European Defence Cooperation (CEDC), Ljubljana hosted the CEDC + Western Balkans Expert Meeting on Promotion and Military Personnel Recruitment on 12 February 2026.
The meeting brought together experts from CEDC member states and Western Balkans partners, providing a platform for the exchange of views, experiences, and best practices in the fields of military promotion, recruitment, personnel transition, and care for former armed forces members. The event was held in a 1+1 format, enabling focused and constructive dialogue.
The official programme featured thematic presentations and discussions on promotion and advertising activities, recruitment strategies, preparation of personnel for transition from military service, and support mechanisms for former members of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
The meeting proved to be a valuable forum for professional exchange and regional cooperation, strengthening mutual understanding and contributing to the development of modern personnel policies across participating countries.
